Problem: Los Bronces is one of the largest open cast copper mines in the world. Management found one of the pits to be particularly problematic and subject to the classical stop-start flow problems. It was a struggle to maintain production at the desired level.

 

Intervention: The Stratflow Production Flow process was implemented during 2017.

 

Result: Within 3 months production increased from an average 180 000 tons per day to 240 000 tons per day- a 30% production increase.
