PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Stratflow Australia collects through stratflow.com.au and the tools linked from it, why we collect it, and how you can see or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
IN SHORT
-
We collect the details you choose to give us, such as your name and email address when you contact us or book a meeting, plus standard website analytics.
-
We use them to reply to you and to deliver our work for clients. We don't sell personal information.
-
Some of our service providers store data outside Australia, mainly in North America and the European Union.
-
You can ask to see or correct your information, or have it deleted, by emailing info@stratflow.com.au.
WHO WE ARE
Stratflow Australia (“Stratflow”, “we”) is a mining productivity and safety consultancy based in Brisbane, Queensland. For anything about your personal information, email us at info@stratflow.com.au.
WHAT WE COLLECT AND HOW
Most of what we hold comes directly from you, when you:
-
send us a message through the contact form (your name, company, email address and message)
-
chat with us on the site, email us or speak with us
-
book a meeting through Calendly (your name, email address and any notes you add)
-
play the mine simulation (your game results, and a name only if you choose to enter one)
-
register for an event or webinar, where we run one (the details on the registration form)
When we work with a mining company, the client may also give us the names, roles and contact details of people at the operation, along with operating data. We use these only to deliver that work.
When you visit the site, some information is collected automatically: your device and browser type, an approximate location based on your IP address, the pages you view and how you arrived. The section on cookies and analytics explains this.
The Best-Day Diagnostic runs entirely in your browser. What you enter or upload there is not sent to us or stored by us.
We don't collect sensitive information, such as health information, through this site. You can browse the site and ask general questions without telling us who you are, although we need an email address to reply.
WHY WE USE IT
We use personal information to:
-
reply to enquiries and arrange meetings
-
prepare for and deliver consulting work, under our agreement with the client
-
send updates you have asked for, or that relate to work we are doing with you
-
understand how people use the site, so we can improve it
-
keep the site secure and meet our legal obligations
We don't sell personal information. We don't use it for any other purpose without your consent, unless the law allows or requires it.
We send marketing emails only to people who have asked for them or who already do business with us. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can simply ask us to stop.
COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
The site is hosted on Wix, which sets the cookies the site needs to work. We also use two analytics services:
-
Google Analytics, which uses cookies to show us how visitors find and use the site, in aggregate.
-
TWIPLA, a visitor analytics service that can record how a visit moves through our pages, such as scrolling and clicks. We use these recordings to find pages that confuse people, not to identify anyone.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work without them. Google offers a tool to opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We share personal information only with those who help us run the business, and only what they need:
-
Wix, which hosts the website, its forms and chat
-
Google, for analytics, and the providers of our email and document software
-
TWIPLA, for visitor analytics
-
Calendly, for meeting bookings, and the provider that hosts our mine simulation
-
associates who work with us on a client engagement, under a duty of confidentiality
-
professional advisers, such as our accountant or lawyer, when needed
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
OVERSEAS
Several of these providers store data outside Australia. Your information is likely to be held in the United States, Canada and countries of the European Union, and possibly in other countries where these providers run their servers. When we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure the recipient handles it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
SECURITY AND HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We store personal information with the providers listed above, who protect it with measures such as encryption and access controls. Within Stratflow, only the people who need the information can see it.
We keep information only while we need it for the purposes in this policy or to meet legal requirements, such as keeping tax records. After that we delete it or remove the details that identify you.
If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and, where required, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
AUTOMATED DECISIONS
We don't use computer programs to make decisions about you that could significantly affect your rights or interests.
SEEING OR CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@stratflow.com.au. We will respond within 30 days, and there is no charge for asking. If we can't give you access, we will explain why in writing.
If you live in a country whose privacy laws give you further rights, such as the European Union, the United Kingdom, Brazil or South Africa, contact us and we will help you use them.
COMPLAINTS
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email us with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the OAIC at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992 (from within Australia).
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We review this policy at least once a year, and whenever our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
