A Brisbane consultancy that helps mines run as one system, controlled from the constraint.

Stratflow Australia helps mining operations raise and stabilise throughput by managing flow around the true constraint. We work with operating teams, executives and capital owners, and we treat safety and productivity as outcomes of the same operating conditions.

Our method comes from the late Arrie van Niekerk, who pioneered the application of Theory of Constraints in mining, starting at Iscor's Thabazimbi mine. Hendrik Lourens worked with Arrie from 2013 to 2022, founded Stratflow in 2013 and developed the method further as the Flow Room: a short daily meeting where operations, maintenance, planning and processing coordinate to protect mine-wide output.
