Problem: The CHPP was the bottleneck in this system. As with many other Longwall mines, for historical reasons the Longwall was run as if it was the constraint. 

 

Intervention: The Productivity Platform was implemented in 2023.

Results: Production rates at the CHPP stabilised immediately at what was previously considered a maximum rate. The increased output in the first two months contributed an extra $30 million to the bottom line.
